Q: What does the engine paint contain? Do I need to dilute it?

A: It contains Xylene, Butan-1-ol, Ethylbenzene, Propan-1-ol, Zinkfosfate. At brushing you do not have to dilute the paint, at spray painting you should dilute it with Xylene.

Q. The 544/210 wiper blades do not fit the hook type wiper arm on the cars?

A.The blade has two types of connections. To use it on PV/Duett the upper connection should be removed. To do this the lock pin at the side of the blade must be pulled. The arm can then be hooked on to the blade from the side.

Q. What types of glue should be used for the rubber weatherstrips glued to the body?

A. Our weatherstrips are made of EPDM rubber which is the most weather resistant rubber. This polymer has a very poor adhesion to regular yellow (nitrile based) contact glues. We recommend a special black contact glue called Bostik 292. This glue is made in Sweden and we believe that similar products can be found in other markets.

Q. The door windlace on the 1960-70 PV/Duett/Amazons are listed as black only but are grey on many cars. Why are we not supplying the grey windlace for those cars?

A. Originally all windlace on those cars were black. From exposure to sunlight and ageing they turn grey. For an authentic restoration/repair they should always be black.

Q. For the parallel rod in the steering sometimes the wrong ball joint is supplied, why?

A. Sometimes when we are shipping for example LH ball joint the customer says he got the wrong type. After checking with the customer we have seen that the rod has in some cases been reversed in the past. Therefore check always that the LH ball joint has LH thread (RH has RH thread), if this is not the case the rod has been reversed. See also instruction sheet.
